Our Board Certified Ophthalmologist is an expert in providing a comprehensive approach to optimal vision and eye care. His experience includes treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, as well as expertise in emergency and routine eye care and surgical techniques. Among the latest, advanced eye surgical procedures, Dr. Durrett offers multi-focal and astigmatism correcting lens implants, modalities that significantly reduce the need for distance and reading glasses.

Designed by physicians to offer you an optimal level of care, the Gulf Coast Endoscopy and Surgery Center of Venice is a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center where our  experienced gastroenterologists perform sophisticated procedures using video endoscopic technology. Our goal is to provide you with high quality health care in an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. Our advanced health care facility offers private pre and post-operative areas and personal nursing assistance. The center’s three procedure rooms are equipped with the latest technology and instruments for gastrointestinal endoscopic studies, allowing physicians to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions.

COVID-19 Update

Gulf Coast Endoscopy and Surgery Center will reopen on May 11th for elective procedures.  Our goal at Gulf Coast Endoscopy and Surgery Center is to protect the health of our patients, staff and community. We are closely monitoring the latest information on the coronavirus illness. We encourage everyone to follow the latest information from the CDC to prevent the spread of infection.  All patients will be screened and/or tested for COVID-19.


Please note that for the safety of all involved, no one will be allowed inside the Center with the patient.  Those people providing rides for the patients must stay with their cars or return to the Center to pick up the patient.  A mobile cell phone number MUST be provided where the ride can be reached to pick up their patient.
